Description
This is a study of the decoration on an early twentieth century “Double A” Bandoneon built by Alfred Arnold, this drawing covers the left-side of the instrument.
by drawing the instrument in a fixed perspective, I hope to liberate the object from its purpose.
Some of the elements shown (like the valve lever) are integral, others completely decorative. They all come together to create a form that is beautiful in itself without the viewer needing to know what the subject is, or what it is used for.
